Shawn Farquhar est un prestidigitateur norvégien récompensé par de multiples prix pour ses manipulations (deux fois champion du monde). Bref, c’est quelqu’un de très fort, et ça se voit. Voici une vidéo d’un de ses tours… Vous aurez peut-être reconnu le fameux Ambitious Card mis à sa sauce.

Ceux qui me voient pratiquer souvent se rendront compte également que je sais déjà faire un bon nombre des manipulations qu’il utilise. Ça veut dire qu’en travaillant spécifiquement quelques unes des manipulations qui ne m’ont pas encore intéressé jusqu’à aujourd’hui, j’aurais éventuellement pu imaginer cette routine moi-même (avec tous les aléas que cette affirmation implique). Mais l’idée qu’il a trouvé de chorégraphier les enchainements sur la douce mélodie de Sting (Shape of my Heart), faisant apparaître les cartes au gré des paroles (voir en fin de billet)… Franchement là je dis chapeau : Jamais je n’aurais eu l’imagination nécessaire à la mise au point d’une telle poésie.
